The California Exit – That’s luxury real estate broker and co-owner of Acquisto Real Estate, Shana Acquisto. I happen to be like that title, actually. Like the title. Good. I’m glad to hear that. We’re going to everybody in California, eggs and lots of people live in California. So we’re going to talk about some things that you’re doing next week, you and Hannah.

So I want to, like, let you guys know what led up to this. So Hannah reached out to me a couple of months ago and said, you know, with the financial background that I have, I have some contacts in California. I’m actually from Bakersfield. And I. What do you think about going to California and setting up some meetings and speaking to different people about, you know, a possible move to Texas, like everybody who’s, you know, possibly thinking about leaving the state? And I thought, wow, I think that is an excellent idea. And she goes, great, you’re coming too, right?

So, of course, I thought to myself, I’m like, wow, that sounds like a girls trip, not work.

Ok, so a little bit. Yes, but one, I thought it was a great idea that Hannah had thought outside of the box. And, you know, we’re in a challenging market. You can’t get stuck in a rut. And you also need things to kind of, you know, make your career interesting, like spice it up a little bit. And I thought this was a great idea that she had.

So we leave on Monday morning and like, we get off the plane and we literally have back to back meetings every day. So, you know, she has said a couple of times, I’m really sorry, I really didn’t want to work the whole time, but that is why we’re going. So we are going to spend one day on Friday doing some winery tours, but every day before that, we are back-to-back meetings slammed.

So we’re going to we have set up meetings with various real estate brokers. We actually have a fruit farm that we’re going to go to her. And these guys are looking to exit California. And this is a Mike and Megan thing. But while we’re in California, we’re also going to go and meet up with them as well.

So there’s a lot of opportunities that I feel could come from this. You know, we’ve been doing a little bit of research and, you know, something that we’ve heard is, yes, everyone’s wanting to flee California. There’s a lot of people that aren’t that maybe they just want to move outside of of the area that they’re in.

Maybe they’re in L.A. and they want to try to find something that’s a little more affordable or, you know, I don’t know, different reasons, but I think it’s really something to think about is, you know, you have people leaving California that were born and raised there and lived there their entire life. So there’s an emotional. Part of this as well.

It’s got to be hard to just pack up and think if, you know, Mike did that when he left New York, he moved here and his entire family was in New York. And since then, they all have relocated to Texas, thankfully. So, yeah. So it’s very interesting. So really, the point of this is to let you know that this was a great idea from Hanna and how you guys can also start thinking outside of the box. You’re all amazing and very impressive agents. So I encourage you to, you know, think about those things.

So it sounds like Hanna Ewing of selling in suburbia happened to just think a little bit. She’s said, let’s go after things that are expensive. Let’s go after people that are buyers. Let’s go over people that are going to feel that our market here is undervalued, that they’re going to get more for their money and it’s going to go a lot further and they’re going to be buying premium properties, probably paying cash. And it was a really good idea. At first. I was just totally like, hey, this is a girls trip. And then we got everything set up and I heard all about it and it kind of pushing this.

We got a great job and we have our meetings set up. And, you know, funny enough, we have a friend who lives here in Plano and her sister is a is a realtor in Westlake Village. You know, it’s a very nice, prestigious area. So her and I have exchanged referrals in the past, but she has some luxury properties set up that are off market. And I’m like, huh, are we doing that? Interesting. But we’re going to be seeing luxury properties and meeting different brokers. And, you know, it’s going to be great.

And you’ll take some pictures. You’ll share them along the way, possibly.
Well, we’ve got some ideas for some. OK, and marketing
And then I just thinking about TNT, you’re going to be on the road, so we’re way early that you are watching early.

That means you guys get me next week. I’m not sure. Congratulations. I’m going to be talking a lot of tech next week. Just get ready, ladies, before Easter. Yeah. Tech Week next week. All in all, I’m very excited for you guys have a spreadsheet. So it must be official.

We have a spreadsheet on A very official. You’re meeting with a lot of premium people. So that’s what we saw.
You know, I have, you know. Leslie Smith, I don’t know if you guys know her, but she’s the VP at NPR and she is a girl in County Senate one more time, VP of our National Association of Realtors. So I got in touch with her and I said, who do we need to meet here? And this is why we’re going and this is what we’re doing. Who should we meet? And she instantly was fired. Oh, you got to meet this person, this person, this person.

So she was very helpful. In this as well, nice job, Hannah Ewing, great idea, I’m glad you guys are able to execute Shana, execute on that. I hope you guys have a great time. We will. And you’re safe. We will be safe.
