Be true to who you are and to win

Be True to who you are and win – In real estate, sometimes it’s super important to be true to who you are and to win. And, you know, we always talk about caring. You can’t pretend to care either. You just you have that in you or you don’t, unfortunately. So I before you get started on this, I do have a little story to tell. And I want to recognize Lisa. Yes.

So Lisa is fairly new to real estate. And she is just if you guys haven’t had a chance to spend time with Lisa or talk to Lisa, you need to do that because she’s just so cheery and bright and happy all the time, you know? But this past week, there was challenges with closings and weather and delays and all these things going on. And this is just an example of, you know, what it takes to win and showing your true character.

OK, so we had Lisa had a seller and they needed to close. Well, the title company, I can’t close because they can’t get to the office. And the weather caused huge delays to the buyer was ready to close. So, Lisa, print it out. So there’s a there’s an online way to close called wrong remote on Land or whatever. Yeah, I don’t know.

I don’t know. But anyway, so what had to happen is Lisa. Printed out the documents and I don’t know all those, I know enough, but I don’t know every detail Stacey does because she’s been bragging about it all week. But she printed out the documents because her client couldn’t get online and she couldn’t get out of her house. So Lisa printed out the closing documents.

The closing packet took them over to her client, let her sign them right and left them there because the notary was going to come because she couldn’t get online, was going to come to her house and close her. Well, the notary couldn’t get to her house, so Lisa then went and picked up the papers, the documents, and took them to the closer.

To make all of this happen in the way in the horrible weather, and it wasn’t down the street from her house, it was far so. Just amazing. So, Lisa, we’re so proud of you and I had to brag on you because you’re I mean, we talk about it all the time. I don’t know if we tell you because we have been able to see you in person, but you’re just always a breath of fresh air. And we really appreciate that. That makes me proud.

And that is exactly what we’re trying to do. Right, is be the best version of you. Yeah. And whatever your strength happens to be, go ahead and do that later.

And she just did it like just OK. Well, my my job is to make this happen. And she identified the obstacles that were happening here and she solved the problem. Never once complained about it, never even, you know. Called to really tell people, except Stacey knows what’s going on and just did it, you know, she just did it because it was the right thing to do and she cared and she was trying to make this happen for everyone. So incredible.

So real estate is a relationship business. Yeah, right. And whom you are. Mm hmm. Says a lot. And we in general, I was talking to another agent who came yesterday and she was telling me a little bit more about herself and how she does things the best. And it really kind of hit me and I understood it just a little bit more.

But she says, you know, I like seeing people face to face and I’m really good with those in person interactions and I really, truly enjoy that. So you have to do more of that, but that’s really difficult right now. It is right. And you need to find ways to have those interactions in a safe way that you feel comfortable with. But you need to be true to who you are. And sometimes you’re not the Internet person.

Like, I want you to be right. Like I have these profiles and trying to set up and I’m trying to do with all this and I’m trying to pull you guys in that direction. But you also have to be true to whom you are. But we do have to get this stuff done right. So we’ll talk about that in just a little bit. But it is important for you to be who you are and focus on that particular strength.

So if you’re good with numbers and find yourself a way to be great with them, if you’re good with in-person interactions, then find a way to do in-person interactions. If you’re just like a problem solver and you know, you can make things happen if you’re a connector and you’re one of those people that loves to put people together. Right. Like, I’ve got a guy to do that. Yeah. Then go ahead and do that. Right. Just be true to who you are and then the business will work. But you have to do more of it

Maybe sometimes you need to stop and ask yourself the question. Like what? What type of person am I, what what are my strengths, what are my weaknesses? And then, you know, put it together and figure out how to how to utilize it in this difficult and challenging time. Right. There’s a way to do it. We just always especially in this business, you have to always be, you know, flexible and change, but you never change how you care about a client. Right. They should be number one and you should see it through and, you know.

Do the right thing and during difficult times, sometimes you have to just do more of it, of what your best out, right? So it’s more reaching out. It’s more interactions, it’s more conversations. It’s more whatever you are great at is important. Right. So I’d like to help you. And if you’re experiencing any challenges at all and being true to who you are or finding more additional business that you’re personally generating for yourself, then reach out to me. Those are things that we should be discussing, right? Schedule office hours.

We do have meetings again today for the new new agent meetings will go over that in just a little bit. But reach out and ask so we can help. We’ll talk through this. This is one of the things that I like to do where I would definitely have a strength in that area to be able to give good ideas or good input in that situation. It started like that for us. We ran into challenges all the time.

And then you find a way to overcome it. As a market changes, it presents you something new. But when it gives you something new and you call it an obstacle, it also gives you the opposite opportunity. So we have to always be making sure that we’re taking advantage of that. So stay focused and aware of your weaknesses and then learn how to make those your strength and keep working.

Yeah, and if it’s not comfortable for you to do certain things on your website or whatever that is, then just put in time because time will make it better. You just have to put in some effort and then it gets better. It might take a little bit longer. That’s why we’re giving you a couple extra weeks. See see yesterday’s tanty. If you didn’t

If I showed that little napkin that we got that we said life begins when you exit your comfort zone. No, I don’t remember where we were, but it Was a little now, Kenis.

That’s pretty cool, you know, and it reminds us that sometimes we do have to step out of our comfort zone and there’s a whole other world out there. Right. And it pushes us and it makes us better at what we do. So very good. Shana, thank you very much. Yeah, I’m done.
